Bondage

The use of all forms of shackles and restraints for sexual pleasure, for example ropes, chains and hand/foot cuffs, practised on equipment such as the St. Andrew’s cross or Spread bench, and lots more besides. Dominance bondage in-volves tying up a partner for the purpose of restraining them. Decorative bondage is an especially decorative form of bondage used to emphasize a partner’s particular role or to accentuate parts of their body in an artistic manner. Torture bondage re-fers to the practice of restraining somebody in a very uncomfortable and/or painful body position to the extent that the act of being restrained alone is agonizing. A special form of bondage is the very artistic form of Japanese bondage called shibari, the purpose of which is to create a work of art through patterns fashioned using intertwined ropes.
